The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane

The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane (which I've mentioned previously) is a 1976 thriller starring a 13 year old Jodie Foster.

It's a strange little movie with a preposterous plot that evolves (not that much) on a weird pacing. What you can't help noticing is that it's an old, dated film. I mean, half the soundtrack is fenomenal (Chopin) but the other half is like a 70's boogie! And it depicts a teenager in a lot of situations that would be unthinkable in today's mainstream movie industry.

Hopefully nobody ever thought about doing a remake. Which would obviously star Dakota Fanning (who actually looks a lot like a young Jodie Foster, how odd) or Chloe Moretz. But today's horror/thriller spasmodic editing standards would be so annoying and would leave the whole thing without a single trace of personality.

But this movie is an oddity and you should see it like that (if you ever want to watch it).
